Application fee: No application fee. There will be a 15% commission on all book sales.
Massey Theatre and Eighth & Eight Creative Spaces are hosting a Children’s Graphic Novel Writing & Illustration Festival on October 28 & 29, 2023. The festival will welcome families from across the lower mainland for two days of in-person programming including workshops in our studios and performances of Dog Man: The Musical in our theatre.
We are inviting BC authors and publishers to exhibit and sell their books for children and youth (0-18 years). Applications are open to all genres and in any written format (poetry, fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, picture books).
Along with a completed application form, all applications must include a bio, writing sample from the book, chapter list (if applicable), and artwork sample (if applicable) as attachments to the application form.
Each accepted exhibitor will be provided with a six-foot table that includes skirting and a tablecloth. Electrical outlets are available, please inquire if required.
All exhibitors are responsible for accepting their own payments. Commission will be reconciled at the end of each day.
Applications accepted for Saturday or Sunday or both days.
We encourage exhibitors to apply early as space is limited. Booth applications will be approved as soon as possible.
