Help us activate the community’s future at Eighth & Eight Creative Spaces!
The team at Eighth & Eight is seeking Indigenous activators from all aspects of community life to create new Indigenous-led activities and projects that directly support Indigenous community members and cultural resurgence. Examples might be language, arts and cultural activities like classes, workshops, digital recordings or community celebrations and gatherings. Activators can choose to engage only Indigenous community members, or may want to share Indigenous arts, ways and world views with the broader community. For working artists it might mean proposing creative projects or productions.
Eighth & Eight Creative Spaces are the new arts spaces in the Massey Theatre complex in New Westminster on the promontory Sxweyemelh. The facility offers diverse and abundant spaces, staff skills and equipment.
To submit: Send us a short paragraph describing your proven or dream activation! Tell us who you are, what you are excited to offer, what you think is needed for the community and what it would take to make it happen. Send your pitch to ronnie@masseytheatre.com
